Notes from the AGM 2019

The Bardon Latrobe Football Club Annual General Meeting took place on Wednesday November 6 at the Bardon Bowls Club, Bardon.

Phil Cowlishaw gave his President’s report.

Phil was pleased to note that the grants have led to unprecedented development at the club and thanked the teams, committee members and hard working but dedicated volunteers for delivering another excellent season at Bardon Latrobe FC.

The results of the end of season survey were presented in a report.

The committee noted the strong member feedback regarding the fields. In particular the poor state of the junior fields. The president confirmed that the summer management plan has gone well and after much work the fields are being rested to prepare them for the new season.

The fields are also the main focus of a couple of grants that the club have recently applied for and will be central to future planning.

Mark Holland stepped down from the role of registrar after two years of dedicated support on the committee.

President Phil Cowlishaw thanked Mark for his service to the club.

Office bearers were elected as follows:

President Phil Cowlishaw

Vice President (Seniors) Ross Parker

Vice President (Juniors) Mark Keane

Secretary Karen Dickson

Treasurer Samuel Irvine Casey

Registrar Michael Watts

Committee Member Scott Newman

Alongside the committee above several sub-committees will continue to manage day to day operations and report to the committee.

2020 registration fees were set and will remain the same as 2019 with a small increase for U12s divisional due to increased association fees.

Information Day was set Sunday 2nd February from 10am until 1pm at the clubhouse.

Phil noted that due to the improvement and repair works the fields are closed for pre-season until January. Trials for certain teams have begun at Marist flats and teams need to source fields and parks if they wish to begin training before January.

Management meeting dates were set for first Wednesday of every month.
