The Bardon Latrobe Football Club Annual General Meeting took place on Wednesday November 20 at the clubhouse.
Before proceedings commenced we were joined by Leone Mackay and Peter Ross who donated items to our historic collection. Leone and Peter’s father Sydney Alexander Ross (AKA Alex Ross) was the trainer for the Australian Soccer Team, Queensland Soccer Team and an instigator who initiated the founding of the original Bardon Soccer Club. He was also the coach of the second Division Premiership Team in 1962.
Peter and Leone spoke at length about their personal involvement with the club and hearing Peter’s stories about playing for the club around the time of the merger was fascinating.
Peter said that as a senior Bardon player he’d like to think that they gave it a good go at training when they matched up with the much more storied Latrobe side.
Samuel Irvine Casey gave his President’s report. Which is available to read here and below.
Treasurer Ian Murray also presented his report.
