We are delighted to be registered for the Score for Daniel campaign this weekend (May 20-21). Any goal scored at Bowman Park this weekend, from both home and away teams, will generate a $1 contribution from the club to the fundraising efforts.
The mens senior sides both in the Capital and City competitions have agreed to double any amount raised by the goal scoring efforts at Bowman Park. So everyone remember to bring your scoring boots this weekend.
Score for Daniel is a Football Queensland initiative with The Daniel Morcombe Foundation to raise awareness on the issue of Child Protection. This year marks the first time that the awareness campaign has been run.
In Queensland there are over 50,000 registered participants in football under the age of 17, child protection and safety awareness are paramount within the football community.
