This weekends fixtures – April 1

Our Capital sides will host our first home game of the season. Bowman Park promises to be buoyant with the Bardon Latrobe Old Boys (BLOBS)  packing the hill to support the teams. The reserves kick off at 1pm and the firsts at 3pm.

The reserves sees Bardon in seventh take on a Clairvaux side just one place below them.

In the firsts, Clairvaux sit eighth on the ladder with two wins from the first five rounds of matches. Impressively they beat high flying Tarragindi Tigers in the last round of games in a seven goal thriller.

Bardon will be playing our fifth match of the season and will be looking for our first points. Hope is drawn from the positive performances in the close defeats to AC Carina and Newmarket in the last two rounds.

City 7 travel to Samford Rangers on Friday evening, KO at 6:30pm. City 5 travel to South Pine to take on Albany Creek at 2pm on Sunday.

Sunday sees a triple header of games at Bowman Park, beginning with the U18’s Div 3 side taking on The Lakes at 11am. The U18’s Div 2 side then face Mitchelton at 1pm before City 6 take to the field to face Westside at 3pm.

  1. Great write up Ryan. Half way through the weekend and we’ve had 3 wins from 3 starts – City 7 won 3-2, Cap 3 Reserves won 2-1 and the Cap 3 men won 2-1 also. A great day on the hill yesterday. Your write up reminded me there are still 3 home games today. Thanks.
