Thank you to everyone who submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) for Season 2026, the EOI process is now closed.
We’re still hoping to welcome a few more players in the age groups listed below. If you have another child who may be interested in playing for one of these teams, please reach out to the appropriate co‑ordinator:
These age groups are part of Community Juniors, and players are typically placed into one of two main streams based on ability and commitment.
These are:
MJL Teams (Metro Junior League) These are highly competitive squads, offering structured training and a pathway to elite football development.
Divisional Teams (div 1, 2, 3 etc): These are inclusive, community-based teams focused on fun, fitness, and participation, with flexible coaching and less emphasis on high competition.
The season is around 22 weeks with breaks for school holidays.
Home games are at Bowman park. Away games are at opposition clubs and these can vary by age group. Usually, they range from as far south as Figtree Pocket and as north as the North Lakes area.
Games are predominantly on Sundays, from 8am to 6.30pm kick off times. Some games can be scheduled on Friday nights and Saturdays. Fixture dates/times vary and are confirmed closer to the season start.
Time slots are set after teams are formed, with managers coordinating with coaches and parents. Final times are confirmed around February–March each year. Training occurs at Bowman Park on another locally sourced ground.
Registration is approx. $529 - $554 (subject to change). Includes training shirt, team photo, and trophy.
Players need a playing kit (shirt, shorts, socks, boots, shin pads). Most items available at the clubhouse.
Yes there are girls only teams and competitions.
Juniors teams are predominantly formed around player 'fit' into the team. This looks at aspects such as skill level and competitiveness.
Priority is given to children whose parents volunteer to coach or manage. We then consider factors like whether players live or attend school in Bardon, Ashgrove, Red Hill, or Paddington. There will also be consideration around player best 'fit' for the available team.
Coaches and managers are usually parents from the team. If a parent-coach is not available a coach can be sourced from our senior teams, at a cost to parents.
