Volunteers: The team behind the dream

Bardon Latrobe FC thrives on community spirit. Whether you can spare an hour each week or lend a hand on game day, there’s a role for you. As a grassroots club, we depend on everyone pitching in—and it’s this shared effort that helps us keep fees low, deliver a fantastic football experience, and stay a welcoming space for players of all ages and abilities. Training and support are always provided; and as Club President Gerard Doyle says 'Many hands makes light work'.

BLFC Volunteers
  1. Say hello and let us know what you enjoy and the time you can share. We’ll match you with a role or one‑off task that suits your schedule.

We welcome all skill sets — organising, coaching, finance, sponsorship, photography, social media, IT, or simply being an extra pair of hands.

For ad‑hoc jobs where everyone can chip in, check out our Game Day Duties — simple shared tasks that make matchdays run smoothly.

  2. Start supported. We offer clear handovers, friendly guidance, and check‑ins as you settle in. You’re never on your own.

Most roles are flexible and designed to fit around family life. You can volunteer weekly, monthly, or just occasionally. Friendly guidance from committee members and coordinators.

  3. Many roles require a valid Blue Card (free for volunteers). If you don’t have one yet, we’ll help you apply — easy. Safeguarding is a shared responsibility.

Reminder: Blue Cards are free for volunteers and take only a few minutes to apply for online. The General Manager can assist you with obtaining your blue card.
