Chucky's Corner

Chucky’s World Cup

The recent school holidays played host to the 21st year of ‘Chucky’s World Cup’. Which is strange because Chucky told me he was 29 years-old?

The below photos of the group team and penalty shoot out comp winners proudly displaying there winners medals. The winner of the U13-U14’s penalty shoot out comp was James Hansen. Other age group winners for the penalty shoot out were Noah Mitson (U7-U8s), Harry Byrne (U9s) and Miles Houghton (U10 -U12s).

Group winners not pictured are U13-U14s winners – Ireland.

One parent said “[Chucky] thank you for organising the competition. It has been a great experience for the team on many levels, from improvement of their skills to just interacting with club teams of the same age level.

The activities you organised were particularly good, encouraging fun while also teaching them great skills of awareness, vision and teamwork. It was great to see the players realise how to “score” and defend when having 2 goals as the target.”

Taking time out, kids have a well earned break from the non stop football of the Mini World Cup.
