Heritage jersey for Kangaroo Point Rovers game

Kangaroo Point Rovers will be hosting an event to celebrate ‘100 years of Piney football’ on Sunday August 12 for our VIVA Capital Round 20 fixture. Both teams are sitting mid-table and this could be an important clash adding to the special occasion of the day.

We’re asking Bardon Latrobe past and present players, supporters, family and friends to come and celebrate at Raymond Park.

For the kids there will be a Jumping castle, face painting and balloon twisting provided by Cheeky Jumping Castles Brisbane and Fantastic Kids Parties. In addition to the canteen there will be the Phatboys Truck on site adding more food options. The bar will be open from 11am supplying cold beverages throughout the day.

Both teams will be wearing a heritage kit that has been specially made for the day that will help to highlight the history of the club.

Bardon Latrobe’s kit has been inspired by a photo of our team from 1918/19 and a shirt they wore when they became undefeated premiers of Brisbane.  Designed with the assistance of those legends at Veto and some generous sponsorship from Finn McCool’s our Capital squad will run out for the game in these limited edition heritage jerseys.

Due to the larger than expected numbers for the day, KPR is asking that people car pool due to the limited car spaces in the area.

So, come along and help celebrate 100 years of Piney football which should be a great day for all.

12pm: Capital 2 reserves
2:30pm: Capital 2

At the conclusion of the games an official Bardon Latrobe after party will be held at Finn McCool’s.
