Today marks the start of Female Football Week. This is the second year for the initiative which was developed to celebrate and promote the participation opportunities available to girls and women. At Bardon Latrobe we have plenty of young girls playing but our Under 12s boast our only all girls team.
The girls are coached by Matt Hislop. They have made a great start in the pre-season grading games – drawing with Caboolture (conceding a goal just before the final whistle blew) and securing a convincing win against Capalaba a couple of weekends ago.
