We are sadly approaching the end of the 2018 season and finals football is upon us. We would like to congratulate the City 5 men’s team, over 35 div 3 team, U13 girl’s div 2 and U12 div 2 boy’s team whom have all made the finals. This is no easy feat at any level. The over 35 team could make club history by completing the double (Premiers and Champions) in consecutive years.
It has been a great season at Bardon Latrobe and we are very excited about the future with improved infrastructure, facilities and player development programs all planned.
Of course none of this is possible without our dedicated team of volunteers. These include our committee/sub committee members, managers, coaches and of course our parents who make sure our junior players are at training and their games each week.
We want to celebrate our achievements on Sunday afternoon 16th September commencing at 14:00. We encourage you to confirm your attendance on the Facebook event page.
We hope to see most of you down at Bowman Park. There will be lots to do with the traditional parent versus kids matches, the Brisbane Roar inflatable field and this year we have the live band ‘Deadwood’ performing for us. Marcie will also be cooking up some great food and Phil providing some of his fabulous dumplings. The bar will be fully stocked.
More importantly it is an opportunity for the teams to get together and for the coach to say a few words to the kids and hand out some awards, trophies and photos. It also provides a chance for the parents to thank their coach and manager. As coach of the U12 div 2 team I know how much time, effort and patience is required to coach. As a small gesture of thanks Bardon Latrobe would like to provide two complimentary drinks for the coaches on this special day at the club.
