After an absence of 6 years, a senior women’s team represented Bardon Latrobe on the weekend, as the women’s over 30’s team played their first games at Brighton.
Club secretary and over 30’s coordinator Karen Dickson said the team played 3 thirty minute games.
“We didn’t win, but we didn’t get flogged either. Some of our team have never played before so we are delighted to get out on the field. We even had our first goal for the team!”
“This amazing team of women who were feeling a little anxious went out and played like champions,” Karen said.
The women’s team are training on Wednesday evenings at 6pm and have a coach. Anyone interested in joining can contact Karen.
