Bardon Latrobe U11 Goanna side staged a remarkable comeback to win the Father’s Day carnival at Taringa Rovers Football Club.
After 2 unlucky draws the team needed to win their third game against a Mt Gravatt side that had
comfortably won their first 2 games.
The team battled well but all looked lost until the last minute when Zac Lamason played a lovely pass to our striker Luka Mackenzie who slotted the ball home and earn us a place in the final against the same Mt Gravatt side.
In the final, spurred on by self belief, the boys started to dominate play and ran out deserved 3-0
winners. This win was a great reward for all the work the boys have done and in the end their
superior fitness was the difference.
