Thank you to everyone who submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) for Season , the EOI process is now closed.
We’re still hoping to welcome a few more players in the age groups listed below. If you have another child who may be interested in playing for one of these teams, please reach out to the appropriate co‑ordinator:
Under 8 - Under 12 allocates children into three playing levels, these are based on the team's football ability.
These are:
Kangaroos/Bilbies - The highest level play for the club. Entry to Kangaroos is via trials
Wallabys - Most teams will play at this level. Mid-level football skill
Quokkas - More level football and less competitive
Children are allocated to teams which train and play together for the length of the season. The season is 18 weeks long with breaks for school holidays.
U8 to U9 have seven players on the field, with team sizes ~ten players
U10 to U12 have nine players on the field, with team sizes ~13 players
Home games are at Bowman park. Away games are at opposition clubs and these can vary by age group. Usually, they range from as far south as Figtree Pocket and as north as the North Lakes area. Younger age groups tend to have less travel.
Games are usually on Saturday, from 8am to 4.30pm kick off times. Fixture dates/times vary and are confirmed closer to the season start. Generally, the younger age groups start earlier in the day.
For non-Kangaroos/Bilbies teams, training is held once a week on weekdays. Kangaroos/Bilbies teams can train twice a week.
Time slots are set after teams are formed, with managers coordinating with coaches and parents. Final times are confirmed around February–March each year.
Registration is approx. $438 to $513 (subject to change). Includes training shirt, team photo, and trophy.
Players need a playing kit (shirt, shorts, socks, boots, shin pads). Most items available at the clubhouse.
Yes there are girls only teams and competitions.
When forming teams, we take into account friendship groups, shared schools, and preferences submitted during registration. If your child is new to the club, they will be placed in a team that best suits both their needs and the overall team dynamic.
From experience, we know that new teammates often become new friends.
Priority is given to children whose parents volunteer to coach or manage. We then consider factors like whether players live or attend school in Bardon, Ashgrove, Red Hill, or Paddington.
