Capital teams go back to St George’s Park

Our Capital League Three teams will play their second game of the season at St George’s Park this Sunday as they face St George Willawong at 4pm and 6pm. All of today’s games were postponed in advance by Football Brisbane due to the weather this week. City, junior and Miniroos games games scheduled for tomorrow (Sunday) will be going ahead.

St George didn’t play last week, their game against Clairvaux was rained out. They have had an impressive start to the season, winning 4 of their 5 games and sitting on top of the ladder on goal difference. Bardon Latrobe picked up a 3-2 win against AC Carina.

The teams didn’t meet in the league last year but St George ran out 3-0 winners in the first round of the FFA Cup, also played at St George’s Park.

In the reserves it will be 4th placed Bardon Latrobe versus 5th placed St George (with a game in hand). Bardon Latrobe’s 2-1 win against AC Carina moving them above St George last week.

Our City 5 team will be hoping (again!) to get their season under away, facing Taringa Rovers at Bowman Park at 1pm on Sunday. Our City 6 team will travel to face Grange Thistle at 5:30pm and our City 7 team will also face Taringa at Jack Speare Park, KO at 2pm.
