Mapri charts out road to success

Bardon Latrobe FC are delighted to announce FQPL head coach Russell Mapri has committed to Bardon Latrobe for 2024.

Mapri re-signs with the club after gaining Bardon Latrobe promotion to FQPL4 in 2023.

Mapri said he’s keen to build on the success of the season.

“I’m delighted to have secured promotion in my first season with the club and I’m keen to build on that success and establish ourselves in FQPL4 this coming season.

“To that end I’ve made a number of signings retaining key players from 2023 – I have targets in mind to bring to the club and we are also welcoming expressions of interest from players who might be interested,” Mapri said.

Vice-President (Seniors) Ross Parker said that re-signing Russell was top of the agenda for the Bardon Latrobe committee.

“Russell’s on the pitch performance has been impressive but for a club like ours it has been witnessing his commitment to develop and assist with our U23s and U18s that has been the true measure of success.

“We saw a Bardon Latrobe junior graduate to the first team, several long-term Bardon Latrobe juniors made their debut in the U23s with a couple also getting on the bench for the top team. That connection from our hugely successful junior program to our popular miniroos section is critical to the sustainability of our club,” Ross said.

Details around FQPL trials and additional coaching appointments will be coming shortly.

We are now taking expressions of interest for our FQPL4 squad contact Russel Mapri to discuss any opportunities 0427517525.
